So, shopping for a bike, but having difficulty finding out what size bike do I need?

Actually, the first step is to answer what kind of bike should I buy, and my new calculator makes it easy! Simply enter your information, click submit, and you are good to go. I've got to go ride soon, so I'm keeping this short and sweet, bye for now.

I just have to shake my head in shame! You wanted to know what size bike do I need, but where have I been? Not answering that question, that's for sure.

Okay, I'm on track, I'm committed again, so here goes: I'm going to have another update out by this Sunday, oh just remembered, I have appts on Fri pm, Sat pm, Sun am….., NO, no more slacking! I'll have an update out by Sun pm, promise. Happy? 🙂

Reach Calc’s for Measuring a Frame for YOU! :D

To truly determine What Size Bike Do I Need, you should calc total reach, kinda tricky until now, but I found some great info.

In short:

Measure inseam, measure trunk, measure arms, do some math on that = suggested reach.

It's actually quite accurate. I'm going to be on a brief respite from posting for a couple days, once I'm posting again, I'll whip up some forms for the site…laters!

Cyclocross Frame Size Standover Clearance

Writing about cyclecross bike frame size, specifically standover height. When you are jumping on and off a bike at speed during a CX event, the last thing you want is to land on the top tube, so recommended min standover clearance is 1" to 2".

Cyclocross or psychocross 🙂 season is here! What size bike do I need in a 'cross bike?

Some cross frames are built with a higher bottom bracket design – higher clearance was the idea, for these type of bikes:

Select a cross frame 2 sizes lower than your road size.

In other words, if you ride a size 58 road, you should get about a 54 cross frame. I'll explain why in a future blog post…..
